Following Jesus isn’t a label—it’s a decision. Jesus never said that following Him would be easy. From the start, He made it clear that being His disciple would cost something. 💔 Not money. 💸 Not talent. 🎨 But your whole life. True discipleship requires CONVICTION, COMMITMENT, and COURAGE.

🔥 1. It Takes CONVICTION
You can’t follow Jesus halfway. Conviction means you truly believe who Jesus is and what He says—and you live like it’s true. ✅ It’s not just agreeing with Christian ideas; it’s choosing God’s truth even when friends, culture, or social media say something different. Jesus said in John 8:31, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.”  📖 Conviction keeps you steady when doubts show up or pressure hits. Without it, faith becomes something you talk about—not something you stand on.

The disciples had conviction because they saw Jesus do amazing things – and then saw Him alive after the resurrection. 👀 That certainty gave them the courage to keep going, even when everything around them tried to shake their faith. 🌊 Even if we haven’t seen Jesus in person like they did, we can have the same conviction by trusting His Word and promises today. ✨ As Jesus said in John 20:29, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

💪 2. It Takes COMMITMENT
Following Jesus is not a one-time choice—it’s a daily one. 📆 Jesus didn’t say, “Follow Me when it’s easy.” He said in Luke 9:23, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”  ✝️ Commitment means showing up for God even when your feelings don’t. 😓 It’s choosing obedience, prayer, and growth—not just when life is good, but when it’s hard. The disciples stayed committed even when following Jesus brought rejection, suffering, or danger. ⚔️ Commitment isn’t based on circumstances—it’s based on devotion. ❤️ Faith grows when you stay faithful, even on the tough days. 🌱

🦁 3. It Takes COURAGE
Following Jesus often puts you in the minority. 🚫 It takes courage to live differently, to speak truth with love, and to stand for Jesus – even when it costs you approval or popularity. Courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s trusting God more than you fear people. 🙏 The disciples were afraid too, but they prayed for boldness and stepped up anyway.  In Acts 4:29, the disciples prayed for boldness to keep speaking God’s truth. ✝️ You might not face life-or-death situations, but following Jesus today can still be risky—standing up for Him in school, with friends, or online takes courage too. 💻🗣️

🌟 The Bottom Line
Being a disciple of Jesus isn’t easy—but it’s worth it. Conviction keeps your faith rooted. 🌳 Commitment keeps you following when it’s hard. 🔒 Courage keeps you standing when it costs you something. 💎 Jesus gave everything for us. Following Him means being willing to give your life to Him—one choice, one step, one day at a time. ⏳

❓ Personal Question: Are you willing to follow Jesus today no matter what it costs you?  🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

If your answer is yes, then you can echo the words of the hymn: 🎵

I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.

So, let’s go! 🚀 No matter what!  🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏿‍♀️🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏾‍♀️

    Objective, absolute truth is our active ingredient. Our culture hates it. Thanks for always standing up for Truth.
